Taller, Heavier and Naughtier...

Dhruva completed 5 months and entered his 6th month. The first thought that comes to my mind about his growth is that he became

Taller, no longer fits my lap -

Heavier - We make it a point to carry his stroller whenever we go out and

Naughtier- Dhruva learnt to imitate us , laugh at out little jokes and funny faces, and ofcourse he also learnt to demand a few things from us .

I call this the best period and love every moment that I spend with him .

My son's Seven Wonders

Well.. I have been very late in publishing my posts thanks to my little wonder . But, I guess, it's better to be late than never.

This post is about seven wonders of my little one . Ever since, he started observing things , he has taken a liking for these and he is never bored looking at these wonders of his.

1. Ceiling Fan : As per my little Dhruva, this is the most miraculous wonder, nothing in this world can beat it . He giggles, laughs , stares and gurgles when he finds this moving object go round and round.

2. Musical toy: Well, the second in the list is a musical toy , which has been tied to his crib. This rotates, while making musical sounds. Now, what can I say, even though the toy is broken , the very music brings a smile on his face.

3. AC power light: No bulb or lamp amuses my little child, as much as the little red power indicator light on the AC. He sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night to converse with this little wonder of his.

4. Wall hanging: There is this wall hanging of a little dog in our drawing room. My son can stare at the dog for hours without getting bored.

5. Frog: Apart from the musical toy, there are two soft toys hanging to the crib - A monkey and a Frog. Surprisingly, myson finds the frog to be more amusing and admirable than the monkey. The little green frog is another mid night companion of myso, to the extent that when he wakes up and does not see the frog over him, he starts to throw tantrums.

6. Zoobi Doobi song from 3 idiots: Well this may be a dance number , but for myson it's a lullyby. He becomes a statue when he hears to this song and then goes to sleep. Sometimes, it's fun watching him sleep with hands vertical , yet sleeping .. (Well, the song may have been played when his hands were vertical and hence , he went to sleep without even adjusting his posture)

7. Behti Hawa sa tha woh: This is another song he loves. Needless to say, when we go in for his vaccinations, we play this song immediately after the vaccination and pat he stops crying.

Blues and Pinks of Parenting

Well... This is my first post after my little one is born . Now, when I look back , it is amazing to see that one month has already ran past without realizing. This month has been a roller coaster ride filled with experiences - highs and lows...
Appo, as we call the little one, for the timebeing (As the naming ceremony is due only in his third month) came into this world on a full moon day, bringing with him all the light into the family. How much ever prepared I thought I was for the job, I realized , it was grossly inadequate. The month just flew, trying to cope with his timings , restless bouts, midnight tantrums, interspersed with beautiful smiles, long stares and single syllable expressions. I am yet to recollect another month in my life that went as unplanned as the last one . Both days and Nights, Sleep and Food were mostly decided by Appo ... Wonder if this is how life ahead is going to be !
